Anyone have a Twitter account? I've been using it more than my LJ. I'm kind of.. retiring from LJ. I never have anything to write about anyway that can't be summed up in 140 characters. Plus, I can't be bothered to write more than that anyway.

I haven't properly drawn anything since November, how pathetic is that? And I consider myself an artist? ヾ(≧Д≦ )ノ My motivation for art has gone kaput. It's always been a problem for me, but it's been exceptionally bad lately, not sure why. Anyway, I'm trying to rectify this problem so hopefully I'll have something new up soon. I have been working on a few things here and there.

And I have a question regarding tattoo parlours: does anyone have a recommendation for a tattoo artist/parlour in NYC who's good at inking straight lines and solid black?

see, this is the thing with tattoo's.
I'd want something perfect, otherwise the design is just going to look shit. ><
Your best bet is to just ask around the parlours themselves, ask for examples of past work and such...

As for your art rut, I hope you're able to work your way out of it soon. ^^

Try doodling cakes and other kinds of foods. It helps me get the fun back into drawing!

I don't know about the city but down here on Long island there's a very good place called Tattoo Lous. Doesn't sound very well but it's a nice, small and clean chain. My brother got a very nice job done on his wrists this past Christmas.

Well, the thing is that I'm visiting NYC and I need to make an appointment before hand, so I don't have time to shop around. :( That's why I'm hoping someone will have experience with them and be able to give a recommendation.

Ahh I see. Hmm, risky business a bit like commissioning art without first seeing the artist true potential.
Good luck with finding someone. Hopefully someone on here has good knowledge of tattoo artists in NY. ^^
